We've all dealt with them. Mean girls.
Ugh.
Why can't girls be trustful? Why can't they stay true to their friends? Why do they have to lie? And why do they act like you are their friend one day, and the next they ignore you?
Everybody deals with mean girls. It's part of middle school.

Decisions Decisions..

So, as you all know, I love YouTube beauty gurus. They are very entertaining, and I also learn a lot about makeup and beauty as well. It has always been a little fantasy of mine to start my own makeup channel... this morning, I was talking to a friend of mine and we were talking about my love of makeup, and she told me I should make YouTube videos. It got me thinking, should I actually do it? I know I have enough nail polish, and I will continue to expand my makeup collection. I think I'm pretty personable, and wouldn't be too boring to watch. I also have a lot of knowledge and little tricks due to the many years of watching my favorite gurus. Now, there is also the finacial aspect of YouTube. Once I would hit a certain amount of subscribers and become more well known, I would apply for YouTube partner, eventually getting paid to make videos. Lately, I have been considering careers in the makeup industry. Possibly designing my own makeup brand in the years to come? Who knows. But what I do know is that if I did become a YouTube beauty guru, it would certainly help me in a career in that field.

There are a couple of things that hold me back. First of all, it takes time. I'll have to put a lot of time aside to make and edit the videos, though I can find the time to prerecord on the weekends. Second, I don't want people to assume that I am shallow just because I like makeup. Third and the biggest reason that has held me back from making videos for so long is people at my school finding out and making fun of me. I feel like I am a person who takes criticism quite well, my group of guy friends can be awful. They have said horrible things about me, even in front of me. I have pretty tough skin, so I am able to brush their comments off. If my channel were to get popular, the whole school would find out eventually, and I'm afraid people would make fun of me.

But, if I am doing something I love, making money, and possibly enabling further career options, I think it may be worth it. So, should I follow what everybody says but nobody does, and "be different" "live your dreams" "Don't let others hold you back"? I also feel like I really don't have that much to lose. I have my two best friends at my school, and other than that, I'm not too worried about what other girls think of me, because my school is very cliquey. It's also not like I have boys just falling all over me, so I feel like wether boys think its cool or weird wouldn't make too much of a difference.Please think about this for me, and be honest, should I do it? Do you think the criticism from people at my school would really be that bad? Oh, the decisions.

Little shopping trip :)

Hello my beautiful bloggers! I'm so sorry it's been so long. You know whats about to come, school homework studying blah blah blah. So I'll skip that and say that I've got some fun ideas coming :)
Yesterday I went shopping with a friend, and I got some cute stuff! I didn't actually get a large amount of stuff, because they were pretty pricey. But I am beyond thrilled with all of my purchases ~ obsessed to say the least! :)

First, I got new OPIs ~ I was in dire need of some new pinks!

~ Shorts Story ~ Just a classic pink, it is much lighter in person!

~Koala Berry ~ Pretty much my perfect summer toes color! It's more of a hot pink in person :) Can't wait to paint my toes with it today!

~ OPI La Paz-itively Hot~ Sooo excited for this one. It's great for summer as well! It's a hot pink with some blue shimmer :)

~ Bright Lights Big Color ~ Oh my goodness, this color gets my award for the best summer color ever! It's a beautiful orange coral color with tons of gold shimmer. I actually gave this one to my mom for her bithday ~ but don't worry, I'll be borrowing it ;)

Next, I went to lush! Ah ~ my weakness :) Had to pick up something!! and ohmygoodness ~ I may have a new favorite! Watch out Honey I Washed the Kids! :)
~ Dragon's egg bath bomb. First off, it's HUGE! And it was only $4.95 I believe, which is a great price for a Lush Bath Bomb. It's super pretty, and it smells like pure heaven! It's super fruity and fresh. Kind of smells like you're putting your nose in a fruit bowl. It's amazing and I will be loving it for my cool summer baths :)

My Gurus!

So, this is a post I have been looking forward to doing ever since I created my blog! I absolutely love the YouTube beauty community, and I have a few gurus who I love! If it weren't for the trouble that it would bring at school, I would make my own videos. But, since I am in high school, it may not be the best idea. Anyway, these are my favorites! She can be a little goofy occasinoally, but if you are looking for comedy relief, go check out KassemG, ShayCarl, or nditanlady (i think thats her name.. shes super popular so it will come up. she is the funniest woman on earth!) Megan is great at hair and makeup, and doesn't do the annoying reviews all the other girls do. She is consistently honest and puts up videos often. Not to mention, she is super pretty! One downside... her and Justin make me jealous! :)

My therapy

So super duper quick! Here's a song that I am currently OBESSED with. And I hope that you love it, because my friends here don't. Whatever, if they come over to my house, they are forced to listen to it 27/4. Productive Procrastination

I am currently procrastinating. I have hours of homework and studying ahead of me, but hey, that's what Sunday nights are for, right? Wrong. So I decided that instead of sitting on my bed surfing the internet and sending the occasional text messages, I should be productive in my procrastination... so let's write a blog! Warning ~ this will be very random! :)

~ First off, can I say... I love youuuu (you know who you are, one of my very special followers. Because it's not like I have one or anything. Psh) You are my best friend and I wish I could spend everyday with you. You get me and understand me better than anybody else, and I am the most comfortable and honest with you. I love you so much!! <3
Okay... enough of the eewey gooey stuff.

~I've been super in to food. yummmy! of course. ahaha. but healthy snacks! So, heres some of my fav snacks to munch on when I'm bored. ahaha
Hummus~ OMGHHKP this stuff is amazing. I pretty much adore all hummus, but this specific one is TO DIE FOR. Plus, all the little goodies on top just make it that much better! I love to dip carrots, bell peppers, pita chips, tortilla chips, crackers, snap peas and so on in my little tub of heaven!

I also have been loving my Trader Joes edamame beans!! they are super healthy and make me feel sophisticated and rich when I eat them. I don't know why... ahah

 

And for breakfast and pretty much when I'm feeling too lazy to make real food, my Special K Red
Berries cereal. And occasionally, I sprinkle a couple chocolate chips on top of it! :)

~Okay.... so last thing is... I'm 1 week into the new semester and I'm already stressed. Like, oh my god I'm screwed stressed. I'm not really sure why. Oh wait, I do. Because I'm a junior in high school and colleges have way too high of expectations!! But, the good news is I finished with a 4.0 with my ridiculous classes and teachers who could care less about my success in their classes. Gotta love public school!
